Amy Song

 

Amy is a ceramic artist working in Plainfield, IL. She fell in love with wood firing at Waubonsee Community College in 2013. In 2018, Amy founded River Song Pottery in Plano, IL. Since then, River Song is excited to be hosting workshops and spreading the love of wood firing in the Chicago area. She is the lead organizer of the Northern IL Pottery tour, which was launched to celebrate and lift up the incredible work being created in the area

All of her work is created by hand—every piece is truly unique and thoughtfully created to be comfortable and practical to use. There isn’t a lot of art out there that you can drink coffee from every morning, then run through the dishwasher. That’s an alluring part of high-fire pottery!
